Traumatic secrets🤕

Should you let your boyfriend/husband know about a traumatic event that happened to you in the past I.e a sexual assault abusive relationship ect?  I just recently told my boyfriend I was sexually harassed and sexually assaulted prior to the aggravated assault my ex guy friend did to me back in late 2014 and I originally hid from because of his reaction and the fear of him of not believeing me but when I told him about that incident I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders when I told him about that incident he was super supportive and he told me it wasn't my fault and I shouldn't of been scared to tell him ❤️
