To all my dec mommies! I took the full twelve weeks off and it states that is the max you can take in a calendar year so because it over lapped does that mean we technically could take those extra few weeks in 2016?

I was told it was a year from his due date. So I took 8 weeks after my 6weeks and then saved 4 and using them throughout the year. But it states you cant do less than one week at a time. My last week I used in December the last day off was his birthday. All the time I submitted was approved.

Answer

No the year is calculated based off when you started your leave so for example if you went out dec 15th 2015 you can use 12 weeks until December 15 2016
