Who did/will you take to your first Ultrasound Appt?

My SO can't get time off work for our first appointment 😕. But my friend wants to come for moral support. However, I'm not sure what all happens at the initial appointment, so maybe I should go alone?? (Will be 8w3d next week at appt).

My hubby went to this one with me.

With my first baby, I went alone. In hindsight,  I think having someone there is a good idea - in case or bad news or to share the good news.

For a very early u/s (before 8-9w?),there's the possibility they'll ask to do it internally. So whoever you bring, I'd make sure you're comfortable being exposed or that they are ok with stepping outside.

I was really struggling with this but then hubby miraculously got off work! Our appt is tomorrow. I didn't want to go alone. The u/s room is where I learned my baby wasn't growing last time. But the first u/s is usually transvaginally and I don't wanna be half naked with a stick up my hooha with anyone else in the room.
