Do I have to change my belly piercing myself or can a piercer do it for me?

For those of you ladies who have changed it before did you do it yourself or have a piercer do it for you? I'm not comfortable changing it myself but do you have to change it yourself or can a piercer do it for you? If no one knows it's okay just asking

I would recommend having them show you for the first change out. That tissue on the inside is very delicate even when healed. A good piercer would rather you come ask for help, than risk damaging a piercing by attempting to switch it out on your own if you're uncomfortable doing so.

As another person mentioned, tipping wouldn't be a bad idea and they'll be more likely to help you out or cut you a break in the future.

Super easy to do yourself, but it also depends on how long you've had the current jewelry in for so the piercing doesn't close up - make sure your new piece of jewelry is sanitized & sterile AF cause you def don't want to risk getting an infection. Screw the small ball off of the top & quickly take out the bar & bottom ball in one quick motion & then quickly put in your new piece. It's cake!

It's easy just screw the top balls off and take it out aslong and it's healed it's fine and you can feel anything it's not painful you just try get use to doing it yourself you don't wanna have to go to a shop every time you want to change the bar

They can do it for you but I would suggest tipping them since they don't charge for it and don't HAVE to do it.  If it's a newer piercing, keep it in for at least 8-12 weeks with the original jewelery just to be safe. It's not hard to change it once it's fully healed though and it doesn't hurt.

If you didn't want to change your piercing yourself, why did you get it pierced?

Honestly it's so easy you don't even feel it, just wet both holes and the bar and it will go through, just make sure you've had it in for about 8 weeks for it to heal properly before playing about with it

I change mine myself and it doesn't hurt at all. 
I get my rook and tragus changed by my piercer though because they're really hard to reach. 
I think it depends on the peircing place you go to. They should do it if it's a new peircing, but I can't tell you for sure because I think it varies with shops.

If you just got it, wait. Don't change it for a good 2 months at least. It's super easy to change, just like an earring only you gotta screw the pieces together. I'd suggest doing it laying down. And practice with the jewelry before you struggle with it in your piercing hole.

You have to change it yourself... why even get it done if you're not comfortable doing it. I mean a piercer might do it for you but that's really a waste of their time.
