Thyroid problems

My husband and I decided we were ready to begin ttc, so I went to the doctor to make sure I am healthy. Turns out I have Hashimoto's which causes hypothyroidism. I've been taking thyroid meds for 3 months now  and just got my blood work redone but I'm still not within normal range. The doctor wants us to hold off on ttc until my counts are better.  I know I need to wait, I'm just feeling a bit sad. We've been married 11 years and finally decided to start but now can't :(
