When I was 17 (I'm going on 21 now), after relocating I went to the doctor for a new birth control prescription. She asked me if I was using the pill at that point, and I had told her that I was not. She looked at my chart and saw I had been involved with four partners in the previous 12 months. She then proceeded to ask if I'd used any form of contraception with my partners and again, I told her no, I hadn't. She had a slight look of horror on her face until I told her that my partners were all women who were recently tested for disease, and I faced no risk of pregnancy. She laughed a bit, and noted on my chart that the partners had been female, and we proceeded to discuss the pill I desired for menstrual issues.

It was a humoring day at the clinic for sure 😂
