RUMOUR HELP
So I've been in a relationship with a guy for almost three months now and I couldn't be happier. He means the absolute word to me...HOWEVER...one of his friends doesn't like me because he wants his 'single mate' back. (We're all 17 by the way.)
About an hour ago, I got a call from my boyfriend saying that this friend has spread a rumour saying that I have cheated on him. My boyfriend knows that this is complete bullshit because he has my phone passwords, I'm honest with him about other guys and we're just very open with each other.
This rumour, as you can imagine, is very hurtful. Especially to someone like me who has been cheated on in the past and when I also have chronic anxiety and am currently getting councelling for depression due to past issues.
I would just like to know how you would deal with this situation and any advice you have. Would you be mad at your boyfriend for staying friends with someone who is constantly trying to break you both up? Is it okay for me to absolutely despise this person and want to have nothing to do with him? I just need some advice because this is horrible because I have never, and would never cheat because I know how damaging it is.
