Should I start taking my two a day now? :)

Been taking opks since my period stopped, they've been basically the same color since but today I got one that was way darker! :) I haven't had luck with having positive on opks since I started taking them, and I started metformin about a month ago. 
Is is time to start taking one in the afternoon and one at night?
