Maternity Leave?

I am currently 32 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my second baby and now work at a Head Start. I was wondering when I should ask for leave.. so far I feel good but now I'm starting to get tired and feet and back are starting to hurt since I am on my feet all day with children. Any suggestions?

I'm a 2 year old teacher and when I get off at 4:15 I'm in so much pain. I was going to work all the way up until I go in labor due May 9th however I'm rethinking it.

Everyone has to do what's right for them. Ask yourself these questions:
How long will my employer hold my job?
If unpaid leave how long can you afford to be with out income?
How long are you wanting after baby is born? If you only get 6-8 weeks and want the baby to be older when they start daycare you have to work longer.
Only each family can decide what's right for them.
I personally am hoping to go on leave between 36-38 weeks an come back after baby is 8 weeks old. The 36 or 38 depends on if the baby keeps measuring big, if he shows a week or so early again I will probably aim for 36 weeks in case I have to go early!! I would like a week or two before baby comes to get ready!

I am a teacher, I was planning to go up until I went in to labour. However currently 30+3 and already finding it hard. Think I will leave at 37.
