The only reason you're told not to is because some seafood can contain a high content of mercury which can be very bad for you. A little bit every now and again won't hurt but don't go ham on it lol.

I'm sure it's fine, in moderation of course. People eat it when their not pregnant, pregnant, whatever and are fine. Of course people worry about the risk of getting sick, but shouldn't you worry about that when you're not preggo too? 😂

I was told by my doctor as long as it's not cheap road side stand/Safeway deli bar sushi but from a reputable source you should be good. In some parts of the world that is their diet and they still have babies healthy and eating raw fish to.

I would avoid sashimi but if it was a roll without any raw fish it it, I'd consider it. I'd still be worried about cross contamination though.

I'm sure most people eat it and are fine.  However, eating raw fish carries a risk of getting a food borne illness that could potentially be fatal to your baby.  The percentage of people this happens to is probably small, but do you want to be part of that percentage?  If you have the best sushi dinner of your life, and then develop an illness that kills your baby later, will it have been worth it?

It wasn't sushi but i told a girl i knew that is wasn't a good idea to eat something and she said "ill risk it". She lost her baby

I hear that if they flash freeze the fish it kills Bacteria. Ask sushi place how they store meats

You are NOT supposed to eat anything raw. That is exactly why some women find different things to find iron and protein in them. You can never be too sure if your meat is cooked all the way.
