How and when do I find out the gender?

Question

I am 16 weeks and my doctor said they might be able to find out the gender on an ultrasound. That is if the baby cooperates. On other posts I have read usually when other moms find out at 16 weeks it is by a blood test. Has anybody else found out the sex at 16 weeks on an ultrasound? Or am I getting my hopes up for no reason??

My doctor did one on at me at 15 weeks he cooperated very well showed his goods. Got 2 confirmations after that & the last one was at 20 weeks for anatomy scan & he's proud to show his manhood each songle time lol Its possible baby just had to fully cooperate. :)

I had a gender reveal at one of those pay for an ultrasound places at 16 weeks and they were completely accurate and said it was a girl. They even let me come back for free closer to 18 weeks for confirmation even though he was 100% sure it was a girl. Best thing ever! I'm doing the same once I'm far enough along this time as well 😊

I found out the gender at 13+5. It was VERY CLEARLY a boy. I drank orange juice to get the baby moving, and we got a good shot. It's more accurate the further along you are, but you should be good at 16 weeks!

I found out I was having a boy at 14 weeks and it was very obvious. I am now 25 weeks and still a boy so yes you can definitely find out gender at 16 weeks

20 weeks & later is the most accurate

I was told between 18 and 20 weeks is the best time to find out. After 20 weeks the baby is bigger so it is harder to see (just what I was told) with my first we didn't find out til I was 20 weeks and this time around (my second) my ultrasound is at exactly 19 weeks.

Went in at 17+1 it was a boy but i went out in town. Then my anatomy scan at 20 weeks said it was a boy.
