UTI again, please help?

Question

I have had UTI's enough to know how to try and prevent them and how to look after it when it happens, but yet I still manage to get a UTI following an increase when BDing?
I only get a few a year but suffer so much so if there are any tips on how to be extra careful other than going to the toilet before and after, please share? 😣😣

Totally know what you're going through! This used to happen to me also, even though I was always quick to the bathroom after sex, took cranberry, etc. I was getting UTI's to the point where my family doc referred me to a urologist. He linked the occurrences to when we BD'd as all testing came back normal. The urologist put me on an antibiotic that I was instructed take after every time we did the dead & it worked like a charm! LOL  This may be something to look into as I know how much it sucks!

I had UTIs so bad that I ended up going to a urologist after ending up in the ER once due to one. The urologist dusted my urethra, and I haven't had any issues since!

You might have an acidic pH level. If your pH level is too acidic then you can get UTIs way more than someone who pH level is in the middle or alkaline. Are you cleaning yourself right after sex? That might be why. Not saying you don't, but if you lay there for 15-20 minutes, bacteria can travel before you clean up. I get UTIs a lot because I'm too acidic, so I take cranberry and probiotics supplements because I hate cranberry juice. But I also go to the doctor and they prescribe me the wonder drug as I call it lol right when I take the first pill, the UTI goes away haha

Yeah try to increase fluids, yogurts and I read somewhere raspberries... Good luck hon!

If it's your pH try eating yogurt. It will help balance it. It don't hurt to try it!

I feel you. I get this and bv frequently. I pee before and after sex, (after I put my legs In the air for a few min for good measure), don't use lubes (other than coconut oil) and don't douche, but still have this issue. It's totally a downer when ttc.

UTI again, please help?
