7 years- Anti-Anxiety medication & pregnancy
Hello!
I was needing some information from some ladies who have/are taking benzodiazepines.
I am only 5 weeks, and have not made an appointment yet.
Since I was a late teenager, my anxiety has been so bad along with my depression. I have been on depression and anti anxiety medication for 7 years. The depression medicine is off and on. I don't need depression medicine in the summer or spring months. I am okay to take my depression medicine, but wanted to know your experience with benzodiazepines. PLEASE HELP!
I have been prescribed .5 mg of klonopin and take it once a day. Sometimes I will break them in half to make it .25 mg. I don't like to be on a lot of medication.
If I do not take my anxiety medicine, my heart rate goes up, I get very anxious and nervous and sometimes it gets so bad that I cry. I'm very nervous to try to get off of them.
Especially right now, I have been so nervous about the baby and pregnancy going smoothly that it's making my anxiety worst.
I know it is not healthy to take benzodiazepines, while pregnant, but need some advice and experiences.
