How long did it take your body to adjust after being off the birth control pill?

This is my first month off after being on it for 5 years. Also first month TTC. Had many symptoms of pregnancy 4-7 DPO. ( nausea, nipples sentitivity, cramping, moodiness etc). Took a test this morning and was negative and now have cramping again. AF due on Tuesday.
