Hospital Gowns - buying your own?

I'm been looking at cute and comfortable maternity hospital gowns on etsy. Does anyone else plan on bringing their own gown? Is it worth it?

Day of I wore the provided hospital gown, but after that I wore my own maternity/nursing nightgowns.  Quite frankly I was in comfy clothes by day two😀

I'm buying a gown for AFTER my son is born. Something to wear until I go home that is comfortable and makes it easy to be checked and to breastfeed

My hospital doesnt allow outside belongings to be used while in the hospital.

I'd rather spend my money on a cute set of comfy pajamas or robe to wear once I get home and I'm not bleeding so much.

My first couple days post partum it was like The Shining down there! Lol

I put something nice on after I had my baby. I got long nursing pajamas and a robe. I didn't wear anything but the big mesh panties they give you while I was there. They check out your bottom area a few times a day after vaginal birth. In my experience my stuff didn't get dirty at all. I also brought stuff to shower do my hair and makeup. I felt so much better after.

You know what I wore during labor? Nothing! Too hot.

I have used my ow with each baby. I have csections so I wear it after surgery and until I can shower and put on regular clothes. Usually until day 2

I am. I have no idea what the gowns at the hospital will be like and I want to be comfortable....that's worth $60-70 to me.
