Did you think your baby was ugly?

Ok... Be honest. I'm just curious. Do parebts know when their baby is, just not that cute? Are they totally blinded by the fact that they made the baby & in their eyes it's the most perfect thing in the world?

Let's face it, some babies kids just aren't very cute but parents always talk about how adorable their kid is. Is it because they don't know or are they lying because they don't want to admit they think their kid isn't very good looking?

I'm just wondering. Is "we are hoping he grows into his looks" an acceptable answer?
