Just started birth control and the second day I got very itchy and discharge after having sex....could it be a yeast infection? I also noticed one little raised bump but it could be from irritation?

Eat lots of Greek yogurt. Cut your suger and alcohol intake. Take a woman specific probiotic. Drink lots of water.

Antibiotics can alter your vaginal ph, causing all kinds of shenanigans below. Eat yogurt or take probiotics to help her get back on track and stay on track while ur on the antibiotics.

Yes, yes it can. Bc pills can change your normal hormones and even your brain chemistry. Some women do just fine and  for some women( I speak from experience) it can make you miserable. I struggled with yeast infections for two years even when I switched pills and ate my weight in yogurt and fluconazol (Ok I didn't exactly eat  fluconazole, but I had to have it a lot) Anyway, bcp were just not for me. There are options for women. It might be what doctors usually recommend, but you have options that will not alter your hormonal balance and make you more at risk for stroke, yeast infections and anxiety or depression. I mean, (small vent) is having to use a condom for a guy really worth all that women have to subject themselves to with the pill? Just my opinion. Good luck and have some yogurt, it does wonders.

If your taking a birth control pill, antibiotics cancel it out, so if this is the case you should be using a backup method until you finish the antibiotics.
