Today we had our appointment with the RE. After speaking with her we got sent to the person that tells you all about the different packages and pricing. Honestly her voice just kinda started to drone in and out. There's a $16K package that includes one cycle to retrieve eggs and they will transfer two until you get pregnant or run out of eggs. There's another package that $25K that is two cycles of egg banking before transfer. Then the other package is $27.5K that's three cycles of egg bankinging. The final package is $30K for donor eggs. None of the packages includes meds so that'll be added cost.  I'm 46 freaking years old so egg banking is probably my best route. My man hasn't been helpful in making the choice on what to go with. We have $30K but could increase that if necessary so it not all just about money although I don't want to over spend. I wonder about how my 46 year old body will take to two or three cycles of medication to stimulate egg production. I've been a pharmacist for 20 years and I know taking even small amounts of hormones can have huge effects. Maybe that's my biggest freak out. Perhaps if I put more study into the meds I'll feel better. Hell, I'm not sure. 🙁
