We were set on home birth. The entire time we were TTC it's what sounded the best to us. Unfortunately, there are no midwives in my entire county, the closest are 45 min away and not willing to travel for a home birth. The next hospital is also 45 minutes away. There is no one in our town that is educated and experienced in assisting home births. We live a less than 5 min drive from the hospital, it's on our street but I don't trust our hospital at all!! They have messed up so many births in big ways.
