Do lip filler injections hurt?

I've been wanting them for a while now. I have such thin lips! But I've been watching some YouTube videos of people getting them (Jeffree Star) and now I am completely turned off by all the blood & brusing. Has anyone else had them? What it like? Pain? Recovery? Bruising?

No pain. They give you a numbing cream to put on before injections. Bruises last a few days but if you wear lipstick, it isn't noticeable.

You can get a dental block to numb your mouth from the inside. But a good doc should be gentle to keep pain at a minimum.
