So I had Hpv an got a cone biopsie an have been getting regular paps. Have been trying for a few months to conceive and now my ob said I should wait for a negative reading but when I was prefab for my first I had it . So I'm confused

I had it but when I got pregnant some reason it went away. I have been good from it for 2 years now, it's like my daughter healed me  it's werid... but I heard if from others that  it happen to them too. I have been check yearly and everything is still going good.

I have the virus; never had a flare up until 4 days til my #2 due date. Had a c-section and she is perfectly healthy and normal. The only time the virus will cause issues in pregnancy (so I was told) is during active childbirth. If you have lesions during a vaginal childbirth it could pass to bub and *possibly* have devastating effects.

You will always have HPV, it's a virus , it just means your cells were abnormal and most cases will go back to normal on their own and a biopsy is a waste of time up until your later 20s, you may have abnormal cells throughout the year and not know it and by the time you have your pap again it's normal..I would listen to your doctor but don't be worried about it at all...

I have it as well, and from what my doctor told me it mainly flares up when your immune system is compromised. My new doctor did not say anything about it when I told her I was not preventing pregnancy and was ready to get pregnant.

They just want to make sure the infection has cleared before pregnancy so that it's not passed onto your baby. It's not very common that it does but it can happen.
