I've always flushed and toilet has never been clogged. Mine say they are flushable.

I used to flush mine... until my parents toilet clogged.. had to get the plummer out, he snaked the entire line... all that came out was clumps of my hair and tampons...hahahahhaha.... since then, and especially when I moved out, I throw them away.... My husband and I cant afford a plummer to come out..lol.

Don't flush them! Tampons can wreak havoc on municipal wastewater treatment plants. They get stuck in rough sewer pipes and can cause blockages, and they contribute to the overload on the system. When the system is overloaded, under processed wastewater exits the system and into nearby rivers, lakes, and oceans. Plus, they get stuck in the screening process at the plant and some poor guy or gal has to remove your used tampon by hand. Talk about gross.

I use to flush mine, clogged my moms toilet, a Plummer came out, had to dig in the yard to get the clog out! It's very embarrassing especially since I was the only girl in the house (everyone knew it was me) ?? so I wrap it in toilet paper & toss them!

I'm wondering if it depends where you are. I'm in ontario so flushing is fine in the city but of you're on a septic system you can't.
