What is the Nub theory...?

Can someone explain it to me? This is baby c at 12 weeks. We are waiting till birth to find out gender but I still want to guess! My hunch this whole pregnancy is a boy (secretly want a girl).

My OB used the nub theory to guess the gender at 13 weeks! Basically if the nub is perpendicular from the spine it's most likely a boy and it it's 30 degrees below that it's most likely a girl! I was told they were 90% positive it's a boy and I found out today that it's definitely a boy so it worked for me!!
