All names being used by friends?!

We picked two names for our baby girl and all of a sudden, they're being used by friends and accquaintences!! Luna and Juniper :( I really don't want our baby to share a name with someone, especially since it seems like we're "copying" as our baby will be born last. They aren't close friends but it still makes me feel weird. 😭

Name YOUR baby whatever you want. Your friends, or anyone for that matter, doesn't own any baby name.

If they're aquaintences, don't worry about it. If they're close friends/family members, then always discuss, but in the end, use the name you want.

The way I look at it is this... Will you know those aquaintences when your child is say 20? 30? 40 years old? If no, I wouldn't worry about it. Your child has to live with the name forever.

I'm getting the feeling that the issue isn't whether or not one of your friends has named their baby this, but the possibility that it's growing more popular. We have the same issue with my DH grandmother's name, Stella, which we love but is going to get more popular and we don't like that. I don't really have any advice 😁 but maybe some clarification on why this upsets you will help you make a better decision.
