Karma!
There seems to a pervasive and popular abuse of the term "karma," here. Let's clear that up.
Things that are not "karma!" in no particular order
1. Rape
2. Breakups
3. Violence or other bodily injury to oneself or family members
4. Miscarriage
5. Job loss or poverty
6. Partner infidelity
7. Death (either of oneself or family/close friends)
8. Illness
Things that are "karma!"
1. Being an asshole and later spilling coffee on your white shirt
2. Cracking your phone screen
3. A scratch on your car
4. Getting called out for general dickery
Basically guys, don't call someone else's misfortune or pain "karma!" just because they did something you personally disagree with and don't wish it on people.
Be kind, be respectful, be forgiving, and remember, nobody who confides in us as a community was compelled to do so. Acknowledge and be sensitive to their vulnerability.
