A feminist is someone who believes women are people an deserve the same rights as anyone else, not that we're man-hating beasts like it's commonly thought.

I will say it again and again: anyone who is not a feminist is either sexist or ignorant. And if you try to argue that you "can already vote and become president and vote" so the fight is over or that modern feminists are all man-haters, then you fall into the ignorant category. You are either ignorant about modern inequalities between men and women or about what feminism actually means.

We need a new word for the "good" kind of feminism that promotes gender equality and not just for women. Maybe just call it gender equality - I'm all for that.

​But because of some particular feminist groups and the way the movement has continued in general, I'm anti-feminism despite that I am female.

​In some ways men have it hard too. Men are always assumed to be in the wrong when accused of rape, and lately many of these cases are being revealed as vicious women lying about being raped and ruining a guys life. Men who sit near a playground to watch their kids are avoided and sometimes women will go up to them and accuse them of being pedophiles, or just ask them to leave.

​Men are mistrusted in a way that is completely unfair, but unfortunately feminism has overridden men's rights in recent years.

Feminism takes many shapes. It doesn't have to be "men suck. Women rule the world." To be a feminist you can just acknowledge and accept that women have different strengths and weaknesses than men but deserve respectful treatment and equality in society. You can say that women should be stay at home and mothers and still consider yourself a feminist in that women should receive respect for the work that they do being mothers and staying at home. If you don't consider yourself a feminist you are accepting that women do not deserve respect and fair and equal treatment to men.
