Waist cincher/trainer- do they work?

Ladies I'm seeing a lot of talk in these waist trainers/corsets/cinchers as I'm sure you have as well. We see celebs such as the Kardashians wearing them and endorsing them. But do they really work? Are they good for our bodies? What are your thoughts?

Work for what? They'll suck everything in temporarily but it won't suck in and keep the shape after its gone. They're not a great idea. Bodies aren't meant to be that restricted.

Sure they work. They're crushing your internal organs up under your ribs and eventually permanently damaging your muscle tissue so it stays in that shape. But if you're ok with that, go for it. Or you could just embrace the shape you have and improve it by working out. 
And as a side note, am I the only person who finds it downright hilarious that the woman who so publicly bitched about how awful she felt being pregnant and it was crushing her insides and she couldn't breathe is literally doing the same thing to herself in the name of "beauty"?

Your organs shift around when you're pregnant as well. It's safe when done gradually over time. You should never feel like you cannot breathe in a corset, if so, it's too tight.
The point of corseting is not to get "skinny" it's to get curves. You can be as skinny as a rail and still not have curves. No matter how much dieting and exercising you do, your body will still hold the same basic shape. Corsets help you to get that gorgeous hourglass figure whether you're a size 2 or 25.

I use them, if u diet and wear them you'll see results. It's totally not safe though. I told my doctor I was using them and of course she flipped but I mean it's my body, some people eat fast food and drink sodas, that hurts ur body and organs too. I just happen to be the one who hurts my body and organs by using this waist trainer.

Nah just get control top pantyhose. I pull it up over my belly button and it sucks in my beginning of a muffin top enough to hide it
