Blood Type and needle
This is my first pregnancy and I am 6 weeks today. Yesterday at the Dr.s I found out my blood type is O- and my partner is A-. He knows for sure his blood type, he has been in the Navy and is required to know his blood type which is A-. The dr talked about how if the father is positive and the mother is negative then the mother needs to get a shot so that her blood does not build up antibodies against the babies blood. But since we are both negative it's not needed but can't hurt to get it anyway. I am a very natural person, I eat incredibly healthy and don't even take pain med (I've passed 4 kidney stones on 4 seperate occasions with out pain med! ) so I am a little hesitant to get a shot that I don't really need. Just wondering what everyone else thinks and any experiances you have had with this shot.
