you've been a part of my life close to 30 years now. for the most part you've been reliable, dependable and more than welcome to be there.

but now I am asking- no begging for you to take a break - say for 10 months. I am giving you permission to to an extended leave of absence - even paid leave if necessary.

for two years now i have bashed you for showing up on time when you are only doing your job.

you deserve a little more respect than that and hopefully starting this month you will take some well needed time off.

i invite you with open arms again in 2017 which is when i expect you to come back sometime.

so, with all due respect allow me and dh do what we need to do one last time and i assure you when you return our relationship wont be so strained and resentful.
