What's the big deal?
So one of my ex-boyfriends and I made the decision a few months ago to start talking and seeing each other again. At the time, we decided that we weren't going to call ourselves "officially" back together because of the fact that we only get to see each other face-to-face about once a month. Since then, everything has been fantastic. We're closer now than we were when we first dated, and lately he's been bringing up the two of us moving in together and talking about us getting married someday. I'm absolutely thrilled about all of this, but my friends don't approve of the fact that we aren't "officially" together. So what I'm kind of wanting to know is, why do labels matter? The two of us are committed to each other and both of us are planning for the future together. Why does it matter if we're officially labelled as "in a relationship"?
