Help?

Okay I started talking to this guy, and he's a Senior and I'm a Freshman. There was rumors going around about him, and they got to me and I kept asking him if they where true. And slowly he drifted away, and I asked him if I did something, he finally answered my text, and told me that I didn't do anything, he just couldn't do us, because of college, school, and work. What do I do, I really like him and he says he likes me, please help me, I don't wanna lose him.
