Plus size pregnancy?

Question

My husband and I are both larger people. Do we have any other plus size people in this group TTC? Or have you already? Do you feel like your weight made it take longer?

My husband and I are both plus size, we conceived on the first try. That being said until about a month before conception I had been biking, swimming and jogging ( I hurt my foot running) so I had lost a little weight and gained it back but I think all the activity may have helped. Also on my side of the family the women all seem very fertile and my husband had his son on first try too.

I'm "average" according to the average size in America but I'm "extremely obese" according to BMI. My husband and I could both stand to lose some weight, but not a ton. In our case, weight did not effect fertility. Good luck to you!

First off you are beautiful girl...love the pic. But I've been wondering the same so glad you threw the question out there. I'm also plus and trying to conceive #1. My husband is smaller...probably average for a man. I guess we will see how it goes. This is my first month off pills. Af is supposed to be here this weekend.

Everyone keeps telling me to loose weight :/ if I wanna get pregnant and have a healthy baby smh I mean to help yes I'll get healthy but everything else screw that.. I'm saying this as I eat my home made chocolate chip cookies 💕💕

Hi there, hubby & I are plus size and TTC. We haven't prevented in 4 years. Had 2 miscarriages in our first year of marriage and nothing since. I pretty much didn't think about our fertility for awhile and am just just now plugging into Glow and starting to track etc. I think my weight is affecting our fertility for sure. But when I go down that rabbit trail I get overwhelmed & depressed.. Taking steps to be healthier. Joined WW about 10 months ago & down 30 lbs with probably 70 more to lose. Thinking about my weight & trying to have a baby stresses me out like crazy. Though I know plenty of people who's "overweight" bodies did not prevent their pregnancies- yay them :)

I have hypothyroidism and an extremely over weight (5'2" 255lbs, size 16). My husband has a small beer belly, but is overall very fit. For the past few years we've followed a (mostly) plant based diet, and exercise daily.

Before TTC I had a full blood work up to be sure  I was healthy enough... My thyroid levels were good, and my blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol were all perfect. A month before TTC I gave up caffeine and alcohol.

We conceived our first cycle trying.

I am size 18/20 and my hubby is a big guy. We were surprised by the pregnancy with our 14 month old (I was 12 weeks at our wedding). We just started trying for number 2. I don't think our weight has a lot of impact. I only gained 15 lbs last pregnancy but did have gestational diabetes. Other than that had a very healthy pregnancy. Good luck ladies!!

I’m 330 pounds and my fiancé is 235 we are both pretty overweight. I started ttc when I was 368 but started exercising and watching what I was eating. I also started taking metphormin to manage my insulin resistance. I got pregnant after 5 months of trying. Docter said that the weight loss and metphormin caused me to ovulate and bam baby :)
