Flu jab?

Anyone had/going to get the flu jab? I have been told I ought to now am pregnant, but have heard of some people getting ill from it? Don't know what to do for the best. What r u ladies planning? Xx

The flu shot? Yes pregnant women should get the flu shot as the flu poses more risk. It also helps protect the baby after its born from the flu

I wouldn't get that flu shot. Exspecially not in the first trimester.... But it's always YOUR choice...

I got the flu shot without preservatives when I was 4.5 weeks feel great no illness yet. It's up to you. I'm 8 wks now.

Get it. You'll be fine. They'll ask you a few questions to make sure you won't have any reactions (which is super rare). The flu shot doesn't make people ill. Being exposed to the flu prior to the shot, or within the 2 weeks it takes the shot to fully work is what makes people think the flu shot made them sick. There is still a chance you'll catch a different strand of the flu virus sometime after getting he shot because it doesn't guard against all strands. It's worth it to protect you and little one the best you can though.

My primary care physician and my OB both told me I should get the shot. So I did.

I got sick every year until I started getting the flu shot. My OB gave me mine just a few days after finding out I was pregnant.
