Relatives being two-faced

It really bothers me when relatives act like they care about you but really don't give a crap, I hate that. When there's an event, they never invite and when you see them they start making lame excuses. I always wonder, is it me or are they just being two-faced people who act like they are happy to be related but actually do everything behind you. Oh, and I'm pretty sure when I have the baby, they will slap their fake side of the face to come and see the baby, just for curiosity and to have a subject to talk about. Anyone else going through the same situation?
