Phone only charges at certain angle

First off, I apologize for any typos, I'm trying not to move my phone because if I do it won't charge so I'm using one hand. I have to push on the charger to make it charge. I'm trying to sleep and my phone vibrates whenever it's plugged in. It keeps going on and off and vibrating and it's driving me crazy. And tips for now? This happens with all of my chargers after a few months and my parents yell at me because they think I'm breaking them. Once I went through 3 in a month. The lines on the metal charging part that goes into my phone turn brownish green. What is that? What causes it? I would post a pic but it's dark in my room. So uhh, and quick fixes so I can sleep without it buzzing so it's fully charged in the morning? Thanks!
