Cold stone cookie dough ice cream safe?

My husband bought me a cookie dough ice cream cake for my birthday. It says there's eggs in but I was just wondering if it's still ok to eat :)

You do not have to avoid ice cream with egg in it or raw cookie dough if the eggs used have been pasteurized. In most commercial products this is the case. You can't eat raw cookie dough that you make at home because the whole eggs you bought have not been pasteurized.

I used to work at cold stone and none of the ice creams made on premise contained eggs, only the to-go pre-packaged containers did so you should be fine if you go to the parlor.

I read somewhere stay away from cookie dough... But maybe in ice cream it may say whether they use eggs at all? You could prob ask for the ingredients, I know some cookie dough ice cream doesn't use eggs which is the main reason to avoid cookie dough

I think the only ice cream you need to steer clear from is soft serve.
