What stage of pregnancy do they drug test?

Question

How early do they drug test & how long does it take to get clean, not that I'm on drugs but NOT KNOWING YET at the time, I smoked weed once & later that week found out I was pregnant. I would never do that knowing and I'm asking for help so please keep the judgmental comments to yourself

I've had urine tested at each appointment but they're only checking for protein and sugar. I've never had drug testing that I know of. They ran urine cultures the first appointment to make sure I wasn't starting my pregnancy with an infection.

I live in oregon and as far as I know they don't test.. When my sister was pregnant with my nephew she was doing cocain and snorting pills and smoking weed:( 💔 but once she found out she was pregnant she quit everything. And as far as I know they didn't test her or anything, I know they do when the baby is born tho. If you smoked weed before even finding out you are pregnant I wouldn't stress it at all.(: I did too in all honesty, I found out when I was three weeks and I had stopped smoking weed two weeks before so I just have the first week. But I looked it up cause I was concerned and there's really no studies or facts that say smoking weed is harmful to the baby, they've never linked anything directly to it (i guess because a lot of women who admit to smoking throughout their pregnancy also smoke cigarettes and so they can't really pin point anything on weed) but as of now there's really nothing saying it is harmful. So I wouldn't stress, if you smoked a couple of times in the first few weeks everything should be perfectly okay(: and again as far as drug testing, I think you should be okay there too. Its honestly probably out of your system by now.(:

They tested me at five weeks after an initial intake phone appointment with a nurse. My first in person appointment is at 7.5 weeks.

I assume I was tested at my first appointment but they never said and they don't ask for urine again unless blood pressure gets high and then they are looking for protein. I believe baby gets tested when he/she is born though.

I think it depends on your state and Drs office. From what I understand after they confirm pregnancy they ask for urine at every appt and it's suppose to be drug tested at each appt.
