Question

Wtf is a menstral cup? And how do you use it? Why do some people say it's "amazing" and "way better than other things I've used" is it just like a cup to catch the blood? That just sounds so gross?

I use the diva cup. At first it was odd but now I'll never go back. No leakage and I get to see my flow!

There are different kinds of cups. The one pictured is a one time use cup. There are others that are reusable. I prefer reusable ones because they fit a bit different and it works better with my anatomy. Personally, I love them. Once you get the hang of it, it's less messy than tampons. I really like them because you can put it in before your period starts and eliminate the possibility for any "accidents"
I used a diva cup for about 3 years and just started using a femmycycle. I love not having to carry tampons or pads around with me. 
I never thought of using a cup to assist with TTC, but I suppose it couldn't hurt. I'm not sure.

This is what they look like. It looks huge but it fits almost at an angle and sits behind your pelvic bone. It is a little more messy than a tampon but it's safer, no risk of toxic shock. I bought them when I went on a river trip and couldn't wear a tampon for 6 hours. They work good. I'm going to use them for TTC this month.
