Recovering from emotional abuse

This is one of the hardest things I've ever gone through in my life . The abuse was often subtle and because he wasent insulting me or beating me i didn't realize how much I was being manipulated until I finally admitted to a therapist what has been going on and asked him to move out of our home . It's been 6 weeks and he has a new girlfriend as of a week ago and I am really struggling to accept that he loved me only as long as I was complaint and giving him what he needed and I am absolutely crushed . Has anyone been through abuse and how did you work through it?
