Clomid??

Question

Anyone have a success story ? Ttc baby #1 for past 9 mos. I am 40. Recently had d&c and removed 3 polyps however AF has arrived. My insurance won't cover much else so my Gyno may be able to write the rx.
​Would love to hear success stories especially taken on 1 try?? Feeling defeated. Thanks for help!

I just finished my first round of Clomid and am in my TWW and am at 8DPO! Testing in a few days. Will keep you posted!

I have PCOS and did 3 rounds of Clomid. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant! My ovaries were stubborn with ovulation though. The first month, I did 100mg on cycle days 3-7. But, when I had a 7dpo progesterone draw, it wasn't high enough to indicate a good ovulation. The following two months, I did 100mg on cycle days 3-9 and I guess that made all the difference. Jo, my insurance doesn't cover it either, I get the generic brand so the cost is only twenty five dollars. I have been on it for four times. It's worth it to us because if you really want a baby it cost wY more then the meds.:))) but this is the month for us!! Good luck on your journey.

This might be a dumb question but is clomid only used if you are confirmed NOT to be ovulating?  I do get positive ovulation tests but my cycle is very short.
