Ellis for a girl?

I know Ellis is traditionally a boys name, but does it work for a girl? I think it sounds kinda feminine. .. what do you think?

I like some boy names for girls. Ellis could be a cute girl name for sure. You could also call her Elli for short. 
In my opinion, when using a "boy" first name, you should pick a VERY feminine middle name. My daughter is Casen Elizabeth.

I find it to be quite a masculine name, but there are tons of variations that are more feminine, in my mind

My friend just named her baby girl Ellis.  I love it.  Very gender neutral.  The name is like #446 for boys but not in the top ten for girls so it's very unique but still classic and easy to spell and pronounce!
