How do you pronounce Carys?

This is a Welsh name and I've seen that it's pronounced Car-is... I've always thought it was Care-is and Catherine Zeta - Jones is Welsh and had a daughter with that name and pronounces it Care-is... so I'm a little confused. I wouldn't want to Butcher the pronunciation. ... Does anyone know the correct way to say it?

It only sounds like that cos she's got a Swansea accent. It's pronounced ca-ris. Take it from someone who has 3 friends called Carys n comes from the Swansea Valley! :-)
