2periods a month?

I just started my second period for this month. This is the second time this happens. What does this mean or why is it happening? Also is there anyway to get this to stop? birth control?

I've been experiencing the same thing lately - although I would say my "second" period is more like heavy spotting. I still have slight cramping, too.

After some research and consulting my mom (she's a nurse), I've learned it could be due to ovulation. Which is the exact time when I get my "second" bleed. The hormones that ignite ovulation also ramp up the lining in your uterus and this could cause spotting. I'm not sure if you can "fix" it. I would guess it's just a phase.

Birth control would make it so you have it once a moth and it'll be regualr. If you don't, most likely you'll start having it sooner. Its not twice a month, you just get yours sooner so it seems like twice a month
