Should Ebonics be recognized as a language in itself? Personally I think of it as slang, not to be used if you want people to take you seriously at work/school. There was some controversy over this in Oakland, and Bill Cosby(who perhaps shouldn't be throwing stones in his glass house) did a speech about it, the pound cake speech, condemning it. Thoughts?
