Single or double pram?!

Question

Hi mummas just wondering how you all went with prams whilst having a toddler & newborn 2 years apart? Did you buy double prams or just a single and let the 2 year old walk? I'm leaning towards buying a double pram just so I'm not chasing after my 2 year old or carry her when she's tired, but I'm not sure how long she'll use the pram for once she's 2 so I'm abit confused. Any advice would be great :)

Ooooh no no no single all the way and buy a buggy board for the toddler that way they have their little independance when they want to walk and can rest on the buggy board when tired. Believe me doubles are a nightmare (well they were for me) 😳☺️

I went with a double. No way would I have survived with a single.

It all depends on your situation and your toddler.

I don't drive. We would walk and take the bus everywhere. My 2yo at the time was not mature enough or behaved enough to walk on her own. No way in hell could I let her walk. She would just run off and would eventually be too tired to walk.

It also depends on if you have a lot of help. Will it be just you taking them out with the stroller or will their be another adult to hold hands and help with the toddler? It also depends on the frequency which you would be using the stroller? Rarely or frequently?

It's different for me because my stroller was my main wheels. My 2yo could pass out in the stroller, and there was no issues. By the way, she stayed in the stroller til she was 4. After that she was too heavy and she was able to walk responsibly.

Even when my girls were 3 & 5, we still got away with using the double on ocassions. We would use it when we went to festivals, zoo's, amusement park's, and anything where there is a big crowd. Even if my oldest only sat in it ocassionally it was okay because we used the extra space to put things we bought and etc.

They're 4 & 6 now. And I am pregnant with my 3rd. I plan to use it more again once baby is here because my 4yo is small and cognitively delayed. She can't walk anywhere without 200% of your attention because she does not fear cars and does not like to listen.

Anyways. It all depends on your situation.
