When did you start using a tampon?

Okay, so I am 14 and will be 15 this year. Currently I use pads, and tried to use a tampon once, but chickened out. I want to use them, especially for the summer, but I just don't know. Thoughts? Experiences? Please let me know. 🙂

I've used tampons since my period started pretty much. I used to play volleyball and cheer so I didn't have much of a choice during practice and games.

I didn't start using a tampon until I was 21. I never felt comfortable using them. I only use them when I am going to the beach or in the pool. And because my flow is so light, I usually can't put them in back to back or will only use one once a cycle.

I'm 31 and been using them since my first period at 12.

They take a bit of practice at first. But once in correctly it shouldn't be uncomfortable or hurt, if it does it's not in right. Remove and try again, just practice and once u have mastered it u will never look back,

Just remember to change them often, I hate pads as I just think they r unhygienic

I'm 12 (13 in May) and I love em'. I read up on them and watched videos online and got it right the first time. You just have to relax and go slowly. I highly recommend searching around on YouTube for how to put them in, Marissa Rachel has some great videos. Good luck ^^

I didn't use tampons until months before I was married. I had a hard time getting them in once and didn't try again till i was more interested

You just have to relax and make sure you put it in properly, and that your sorta wet or it will hurt more and 15 is not to young! I was around the same age when I started, just stay calm, that your 100% ready and you'll be okay :)
