Frustrated Labor

Well I was scheduled to be induced at 7pm last night, but I had been having pretty regular contractions throughout the entire day 5 minutes apart and at 6:30 decided to head in. Obviously because I am going into labor, we did not start inducing to see how it would continue progressing naturally. Anyways. I've been here just under 12 hours now. I didn't realize you couldn't eat in the hospital at all? I had skipped dinner assuming I could have some healthy snacks here but that was stupid because I can't. Haven't eaten since 11am yesterday. My contractions are getting really painful but my water hasn't broke and I'm still only 2cm dilated so they can't even give me pain medication. I can't sleep. I'm seriously so hungry. It just feels like this beginning is never going to end.
