When to stop breastfeeding ?

I am not a mam and i am no expert on this subject i just see alot of comments on women breastfeeding there child until they are like 3/4/5 maybe older im just wondering what you guys think ?

I'm only breastfeeding when I'm home for the 6 weeks after the baby is born but then I'm pumping and I'm thinking no longer than 1 year

It will be two years for me and my daughter in December. I am letting her self wean. When she is ready to stop she will.

I nursed my first son for 22 months and my second for 28 months. The first chose to stop the second I had to stop because I could no longer keep going. Trust me he didn't want to stop. No regrets I have two healthy boys that have never been sick except for a sniffle here or there.

The medicinal stand by all is at least 2-3 yrs and beyond. My advise is do your own research because some people have odd advice.

I think it's no one's business how long anyone breastfeeds their child.

My family says that when the kid can ask for it by name clearly enough to be easily understood it's time to stop.  :)  I think it's great for a mom to give her baby the best as long as she is comfortable doing it.
