Tried for two years to get pregnant. No success. Then my doc put me on Clomid and I got pregnant the next month. Clomid is a miracle!
Clomid certainly serves a purpose (though I haven't gotten pregnant yet). I've taken this through 3 IUI cycles, a cancelled cycle, and an ER. I have a history of anxiety, but in recent years it's been well controlled (despite infertility stuff). It comes back when I'm on this drug.
I took clomid this month; it gave me mood swings and a horrible constant headache, at the point of waking me up in the middle of the night. I went to get an ultrasound today to see how many (if any) mature eggs I have. So far, 2 on the left (8 and 10 mm) and one on the right (15 mm) not big enough to be fertilized. I need to test my ovulation every day. If I don't surge on my own in 3 days, I have to get a trigger shot. Wish me luck ladies!
I truly thought I would become pregnant after taking clomid because I know so many people who got pregnant the first time... I took clomid for 4 months and haven't been pregnant, however it did make me ovulate early and my cycle became really regular. My husband and I took off this month.
The medicine did what it was supposed to and made me ovulate. It made me have drastic mood swings
The positive I liked it after it worked and helped . The negative part was sometimes you felt nausous but that was part of it .
The side effects of the medication sucked but after 3rd cycle of medication I became pregnant. Unfortunately, I did have a miscarriage.
Gave me mood swings. It was not the greatest.
All the medications I took helped me concieve the first time using IUI
Seemed to help more eggs mature. I didn't notice any negative side effects
It helped me get pregnant
I used for both IUI and IVF didn't have any side effects, didn't have any luck with IUI
Used it minimally
The clomid was not effective for me, it didnt work.
This medication always helped me ovulate, which I needed every single month.
It worked, but made me feel like a crazy person.
Alone it wasn't very effective, but combined with Femara and Ovidrel, it worked for my IUI. I didn't have any negative effects from any of the medications.
Clomid had a reverse effect on me. It didn't stimulate follicle production and/or growth, and it thinned out my uterine wall! Even if we were able to release an egg, it wouldn't stick!
Very effective but made me have mood swings
We tried this medication is different doses. The lowest dose didn't work well for me and when we doubled it it came with lots of side effects. What ended up working was letrozol and a trigger shot.
Great it worked!
It made me ovulate which is what I needed
No side effects.
The meds made me soo sensitive and moody! I went through phases of being constantly horny to not wanting to be touched (don't even hold my hand!!!) because everything was just too much. My regular periods became shorter and eventually almost non existent. The Dr gave me a mild dose to begin with, then upped the dose. I got pregnant after the third and last dosage increase, right before we were going to switch meds and try something else.
The night sweats and mood swings were annoying but not unbearable. I responded very well to Clomid and always had at least 2 mature follicles at each IUI
I really didn't have any negative side effects from the medication. It seemed to work pretty effectively in conjunction with the trigger shot and progesterone that I was taking. It took a few cycles of doing a different combo of the medications before it worked, but it was all worth it!
Only 1-2 eggs per cycle on it even at high dosage so not as effective as it could have been.
Hot flashes, acne
Effective in assisting ovaries to grow two mature follicles. Had some hot flashes and a little bit of extra moodiness. But other than that, no complaints
The medicine worked 2 out of 3 cycles so pretty effective and very cheap. The side effects are pretty bad as far as making you very emotional but that was about it.
Used for a Clomid Challenge required by insurance
It was effective but not every time.
After switching from Femara, I got pregnant with twins on the first round with Clomid
Very effect. It developed my follicles
It helped me to release 1-2 eggs each cycle, but definitely had it's fair share of side effects -- the hot flashes were awful for me.
The medications needed to complete an IVF cycle is outrageous & overwhelming but necessary.
Clomid did nothing but cause my ovaries to increase in size to about 3 times their normal size. The combo of Gonal-F and Ovidrel did not work but the combo of Gonal-F and Lupron worked for us.
The side effects were terrible.
I'm sure it helped me ovulate the month I got pregnant!
It did its job wants the doses were figured out.
It got the job done the second time so I think it worked
It didn't help me
Helped develop eggs
It was effective for my case. They have you test with home ovulation tests and once a postive is read you come in for an ultrasound to check for number of eggs ready. Side effects for me were hot flashes and some moodiness.
Clomid by itself did not work for us, but combining it with the same cycle that we did our IUI seemed to help.
For me? Completely. Some strange discharge, but it definitely worked.
Chlomid did increase the number of eggs
It worked the first time for me.
I had zero side effects and eventually got pregnant
It did the job.
it gave us the results we were looking for. it messes with your hormones so be prepared to feel all over the place.
Was not effective for us. Didn't have any side effects
I took 5 rounds of Clomid with no results. I had hot flashes, severe bloating and mood swings.
I didn't experience any negative effects
I got some "Clomid headaches" and occasional night hot flashes, but overall did not have significant side effects. It effectively grew my eggs, but I needed Ovidrel to get the eggs to release.
The medication seems to work, only have done two cycles and take a hpt tomorrow. Bad side effects such as headaches and moodiness, but next round I took at night time and didn't feel the side effects as much.
Dizziness with larger dose
Clomid and I did not work well together. Femera and I do work well together, but haven't had a pregnancy yet. Ovidril (trigger shot) does the job, and prometrium also does the job.
on my second round - i'm not sure yet. negative side effects - headaches.
This medicine helped my follicles grow full size faster then other medicines.
For my last IUI cycle, I took Chlomid and also had to give myself 3 shots on on the three days following the Chlomid. I can't remember what the medicine was called that I had to give myself shots of, but it seems the mixture of the two was more effective than just the Chlomid itself (which I took alone for my first cycle). When I went in for my second ultrasound after taking both, I had 4 large follicles, where I only had 1 with Chlomid alone. Neither of the medications gave me much as far as side effects; I was a little more moody than usual, but nothing too bad.
It was very effective in maturing my follicules but caused some mood swings and hot flashes.
It seemed to regulate my cycle to 33 days but it did not shift it to the normal/average cycle (28 days with ovulation on CD14)
It definitely stimulated ovulation, however, when the dosage was doubled, I experienced a severe mood swing.
It was effective as for as maturing a follicle but there was only one. They increased to 150mg but at that still only produced one.
Regulated my ovulation but did not conceive
somewhat worked for me
It served its purpose
Positive - it works well and helps stimulate my ovaries successfully Negative - side effects are tough
Very effective; produced very high ovulation.
Ovulation occurred each cycle taken, however there was some weight gain and moodiness.
I conceived on my first IUI cycle with twins. I had no noticeable side effects.
I did get pregnant. One miscarriage, one birth. It did cause bloating.
Very effective. The first round I had two eggs ready to release and the second round I had the potential for 5 eggs to release.
I responded well with no side effects
Not successful for pregnancy yet but has regulated ovulation
Definitely had strong ovulation using Clomid! Went from 60+ day cycles to 32 days with a definite ovulation!
it makes me feel better, but so far no ovulation
Have been taken Clomid for 7 rounds now. Currently in my 2ww and no pregnancy. Hoping for one soon! Clomid does cause me to ovulate which I don't do on my own.
I had an over response, IUI cancelled.
Finally was able to ovulate for the first time in 2 years! Not conceived yet, but ovulation is a huge step in the right direction!
Has made me ovulate on 100mg for my 1st round and my 2nd so I would say it's doing its job! The rest is up to my body and the universe and the swimmers, lol.
After trying for over a year and a half and a miscarriage I started taking Clomid and got pregnant on my second round. It's a miracle! my baby boy is 3 years old now❤
I haven't ovulated in years now. I was just put on clomid for the first month and ovulated. I am not pregnant but I am hoping for BFP next round.
dont ovulate on my own. ovulated the first cycle but didnt get pregnant untel the second cycle. totally worth it.
One of my friends were on Clomid and she's now pregnant with twins after trying for years and having 2 miscarriages... Xoxo baby dust to everyone trying including myself
Took clomid for 4 months. No success on pregnancy. However it does make someone ovulate who can't.
On my 6th round of clomid currently alongside Metformin. Did 4 rounds of clomid which didn't induce ovulation, had ovarian drilling then clomid worked like a dream, I finally ovulated and became pregnant in December 2016 on the first cycle after the op, unfortunately that ended in miscarriage.
Clomid made period regular. But, 6 cycles now, still TTC
Currently on 5th round of Clomid at 150mg. 100mg for the first 2 rounds. I'm pleased with the product because I have responded well on it. I have unexplained infertility, ovulate regularly and regular cycles but Clomid has helped produce 2 mature follicles each round. The worst side effects I experienced were hot flashes and more recently insomnia.
my cycle finished the 26th of Dec should I go a head and start taking clomiphene or wait till next month
I used this medication for 3 iui cycles. The negative side effects I had was really bad hot flashes and it thinned my uterine lining each month I used it.
I did 4 rounds. The first one I mucked up when it came to the times when we should be doing the deed😬. Round one and two were one tablet, we increased to 2 tablets per day on round 3 and 4. I got bfp on round 2, 3 and 4. Sadly we mc the first and the second was a chemical pregnancy. The next round I took progesterone troches and carries the pregnancy to term. I had little to no side effects. I have clomid to thank for my gorgeous DD!
been trying for 2 years. this is my 3rd month on clomid and I am still not pregnant. I took a test yesterday that said negative, so I guess I should be expecting a period in a couple of days. 😔
I have been through several cycles (around 6 or 7) clomid and have yet to get pregnant. I do have lots of side effects (extreme emotions, hot flashes and lots of headaches) but I finally started ovulating and for the first time in my life I have had nearly normal periods instead of every other week. Also, my flow is more normal as well. I just fired my doctor for various reasons and will be finding a clinic after new years to start back up. Hoping with a better doctor and clinic we will be more successful.
Still waiting to see if my first round was successful or not
I had very few side effects. I was a bit more emotional than usual, but didn't have any hot flashes or anything. I had a .5 estrogen test twice prior to taking it, and no shot of surging or ovulating. However after 5 days of 100mg, 3 days of waiting, and patiently testing...on the 7th testing day I had a surge (14 days after first pill taken)!
I'm on my third cycle of clomid and I'm hoping this is it for me. I get CRAZY emotional and hormonal when I'm on it, like PMS times 10. I hope this is my cycle!
I just this drug and got pregnant first month , lost and continued to take it but very heavy on the hormone and a lot of side effects for me. I would advise you to really think if you need to go on this drug and once you come off it messes your periods up.
I got pregnant on the second cycle of using it but lost the baby within 2 weeks. I'm now on my 5th cycle and had no luck. I've been trying for over 2 years 😞
I'm in my 3rd round on clomid and no luck yet. I have to take it on the 5th day of my period and continue to the 9th ( no period on 9th day, obviously). There hasn't been any luck yet but I'm keeping a positive attitude!!!
I used it 5 years ago to get pregnant and I have a beautiful healthy daughter I'm on it again I'm ready for another healthy baby! it's a great method, really
Tried for a year and a half and had no luck. This is my 3rd round of clomid and still no luck, but hopefully soon. My only complaint is that I've gained about 5 pounds every cycle from clomid.
This is my third and hopefully last month on this (3rd week into cycle). Hopefully this is it!
I tried for over a year then was put on clomid, we tried different doses and finally got pregnant!! clomid is hard on your hormones but after a couple months on it you'll know what i am talking about! it was all worth it though!
Been on clomid for 2 months now...hasn't worked yet but still trying!
