I experienced a little gas and maybe some diarrhea but overall didn't notice many side effects. It works.

If I could give it a 0 I would. I despise this medication. It's most common side effects are depression & weight gain. During pregnancy or just prior, you don't want to be fighting mental issues, and you need to have as much control of your weight as possible. Too much weight gain is opening the door to syndrome x, as well as tons of other potential issues for baby & mama. There are plenty of other options for diabetics.

Had a lot of issues before first starting this med, but they seemed to get better after a few weeks. But after a month or so, I started feeling sick a lot. I'm having a lot side effects so might talk to my doctor about switching.

Beware! Diarrhea is the biggest culprit of side effects with this medicine! Got so bad I had to stop taking it.

Important Information
A relatively new method of treating ovulation problems in women with polycystic ovarian disease is to use an oral medication called metformin (brand name is Glucophage). Metformin has traditionally been used as an oral drug to help control diabetes. Doctors also use Glucophage in women going through in vitro fertilization for PCOS, and for those with very high antral follicle counts - if their ovaries are "polycystic" by ultrasound. Women with polycystic ovaries respond with a "smoother" response to the injectable FSH medication if they have been taking Glucophage.
